Primarily, I use a burnisher for honing the edges of a card scraper. I've tried screwdriver shanks, tire stems and the what not, but nothing beats a burnisher for making a l asting edge. The Crown is long enough to handle comfortably, has an ergonomic grip, and preforms flawlessly with some honing oil.
Description of Crown 20260 Burnisher
Burnishers are required tools for cabinet scraper users. After scrapers have been squared with a mill file and fine sharpening stone, these hardened steel bladed tools turn over the thin cutting edge that make scrapers operate so effectively. This Crown round scraper burnisher features a polished HSS rod fitted with a comfortable rosewood handle. 6" blade, 11.25" overall.Wood Chisels
